Global Radio has today announced that it is launching two 24-hour music channels, Heart TV and Capital TV.
Both channels will be launched in September, and initially available on Sky and Freesat services.
CEO of Global Group Stephen Miron said: “The creation of Global TV is another exciting step for the company.
“We continue to grow our business and I’m sure advertisers will enjoy the opportunity of extending their relationship with Heart and Capital as a result of being on TV.”
Founder of Global and executive president, Ashley Tabor, informed employees of the development this morning.
Tabor commented: “Global prides itself on clear, simple brand propositions for its consumers.
“Brand extension is a natural thing for us to do, for example online, mobile and live events, so I’m delighted we’re now bringing both Heart and Capital’s top class brand quality to music television.”
A new company division, Global Television, will be created to monitor the launch and development of the non-stop music channels.
In a press release issued by Global, the company said Heart TV and Capital TV are capable of “deepening and enhancing the clear brand identities of the Heart and Capital brands, and targeting audiences in the same demographics as the radio stations.”
