Govt Covid-19 radio campaign insights to be revealed at The Future of Audio

The OmniGov team at Manning Gottlieb OMD will reveal key insights into the UK Government’s Covid-19 tiering system radio campaign at The Future of Audio next week.

Attendees of the thought leadership strategy conference for the audio advertising industry will hear, for the first time, how the Omnicom agency executed the broadcast radio element to the communications campaign.

Flora Williams, head of implementational planning, and William Barlow, investment account manager (pictured, above) will explain how radio played a crucial role in OmniGov’s unique media planning and buying challenge during the height of the pandemic.

They will reveal how they created an informative and targeted campaign at a time of public confusion around local tiering levels and restrictions.

Conference participants will also find out what tools the agency used and how well they worked, including the mapping tool from Mediatel Connected.

The presentation will air at  12.15pm on 24 June and is part of the fourth session of The Future of Audio conference, which is focused on the growth of investment in audio advertising.

The session comprises four presentations and a panel featuring Direct Line Group, Spark Foundry, GroupM and Bauer Media Group.

You can register for the conference here.

The industry body for commercial radio, Radiocentre, will also reveal new research at the conference that takes a closer look at the likely increase in car journeys across the summer and the opportunities these will create for advertisers.

Lucy Barrett, client director at Radiocentre, will present the findings and explore how listener confidence and spending intentions are changing.

The Future of Audio will also take a closer look at the developments with in-car listening, and also feature speakers from Adswizz, Wavemaker, Mediatel Connected, Radioplayer, Triton Digital,  Radioville, Trisonic, Colourtext, DLMDD, Spark Foundry, Xperi, Google and Yappa.

Also recently added to the bill are: A Million Ads, Acast, Dentsu International, IAB UK, Direct Line Group and GroupM.

The experts from across the media and advertising industry will share insights into the key developments in audio advertising and investment growth in the UK market with a focus on radio, while also covering the power of creativity to drive commercial success.

Full conference details are available on the The Future of Audio website, including the agenda and confirmed speakers so far.
