Havas Records Small Q3 Revenue Rise

Havas has announced third quarter 2006 revenues of €343 million, compared to €341 million reported for third quarter 2005.

This represents organic growth of 1.9%, after 0.2% in the first half of 2006, driven by the group’s Euro RSCG and MPG divisions.

Net New Business for the first nine months of the year is €1,580, more than double the amount recorded for the first nine months of 2005 and more than the €1,055 million recorded for the whole of 2005.

In the UK, Havas recorded third-quarter revenues of €44 million, representing organic growth of 3.5%.

Meanwhile, in North America, revenues were €130 million and organic growth was down 7.1%, following the losses of Volkswagen and Intel in 2005.

Vincent Bollore, chairman of Havas, has continued in his attempt to gain two seats on the board of Aegis, with Aegis recently announcing that it is to hold a shareholder meeting on November 22 to consider his nominations to its board (see 2004 Exceeds Predictions For WAP Usage).
