Hollinger International, owner of the Daily Telegraph, is on the acquisition trail, according to a story in the Financial Times. The paper says that the Canadian company has a warchest of around C$1 billion and could be looking to spend it over the next twelve months.
The FT cites Trinity Mirror and Regional Independent Media (RIM) as possible takeover candidates for Hollinger.
