HubAds Expands Into Taxi Advertising

Ambient media group, HubAds, which pioneered advertising on the hubcaps of cars and lorries, is expanding into taxi advertising.
The newly created group will focus on developing a specialist cab division to provide ad solutions across the UK. It will offer the complete range of taxi advertising formats, including graphic design and vinyl covers for seat-back ads.
The division will be headed up by Alicia Kerr, who previously spent three years managing business development at Scottish Cab Media. She said: “When I first heard about HubAds products and plans for UK growth I just knew I had to be part of this.
She added: “I am really looking forward to the challenge of developing the business and also to meeting familiar faces I have dealt with over my years in the taxi advertising business.”
Kerr will be recruiting a sales team to work alongside her in developing HubAds’ portfolio of taxi advertising products. She will also work to secure approval for HubAds across a variety of local licensing authorities in a number of strategically important towns and cities.
HubAds will enter a competitive market, which includes Clear Channel’s Taxi Media and the recently relaunched London Taxi Promotions (see LTP Rebrands To Reflect National Offering).
Earlier this year it was also announced that taxi passengers are to be targeted by a stream of adverts from video screens inserted into headrests, under a new system developed by Claremont Screen Media (see Screen Advertising To Hit UK Taxis).
