iCrossing appoints Guy Phillipson as UK chairman

iCrossing, the Hearst-owned digital marketing agency, has appointed Guy Phillipson as its UK Chairman. Phillipson joins the agency on 1 February 2017 on a part-time basis after leaving the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB UK) after 12 years.

“This is great news for iCrossing,” said UK CEO Mark Iremonger. “Our ambition is to become the marketing agency for a modern world and I’m confident that Guy’s deep digital marketing expertise and extensive industry relationships will help us achieve this vision. It’s going to be a great year.”

Phillipson, who will report to global CEO Nick Brien, said: “I’m very much looking forward to helping the agency’s management strengthen their powerful agency brand.

“Over the last decade, I’ve enjoyed a bird’s-eye view of the UK’s maturing digital media marketplace and I know progressive clients are demanding the integrated services iCrossing delivers so well.”

Earlier this week the IAB announced that Jon Mew will take over from Phillipson as CEO.
