I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! won the 9pm to 10pm timeslot last night, with more than 6.1 million adults on average tuning in to ITV1.
The programme, which gave the channel a 26.4% share of the television viewing audience, was watched by more people than the gripping action of MI5 drama, Spooks.
Almost 4.9 million adults saw Ros and Adam battling against time to stop the Iranians from becoming a nuclear power, meaning BBC One took a 20.9% share at the time.
Over on BBC Two, Dr Iain Stewart showed that no force has played a more important role in creating the planet we know today than volcanoes, with more than 2.7 million (11.8%) choosing to watch Earth: The Power of the Planet.
Meanwhile, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on Channel 4 lured just over 2.3 million (9.9%), whilst CSI: Miami attracted almost two million (8.5%) to Five.
Earlier, the medial drama, Holby City, drew more than six million to BBC One, whilst Trinny and Tranny caused a stir, upsetting some Pagans with their makeover shenanigans. More than 3.2 million watched the pair Undress the Nation, giving ITV1 a 15.1% viewing share between 8pm and 9pm.
Sarah Beeney’s Property Ladder, in which a truly vile couple built a monstrosity in a horrible part of Chiswick, brought 2.9 million adult viewers to Channel 4 in the timeslot, giving the station a 13.5% share.
