IPC Ignite Appoints Senior Digital Producer

IPC Media Logo IPC Ignite, the division of IPC Media responsible for brands including Nuts, Loaded, NME and Uncut, has announced the appointment of Phil Wallis to the new role of senior producer, Digital.

Wallis joined IPC Ignite in 2001 as NME‘s multimedia editor before becoming online men’s lifestyle editor across Nuts.co.uk and Loaded.co.uk.

In his new role Wallis will head up the development and production of Ignite’s expanding video facilities across all media, reporting to Anthony Thornton, editor-in-chief of Ignite Digital.

Wallis said: “I’m honoured by the opportunity IPC has given me with this new role. Once again Ignite has demonstrated its commitment to innovation within this company, I’m really looking forward to all the immensely exciting challenges that I will have to tackle.”

Thornton added: “Phil has been at the forefront of internet video production for nearly a decade from the very early days of tiny flicking images to today’s explosion in on-demand.

“In his previous role as editor of nuts.co.uk and loaded.co.uk his innovations, vision and focus has made them two of the most successful online men’s brands in the UK. These skills, coupled with his precision and flair in video, are precisely what this demanding role requires.”
