Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted that development around its internet television product is closer to completion, saying technology for televisions was of “intense interest” to the company in a recent interview.
Other reports suggest that Foxconn, Apple’s China-based manufacturer, has received an order to start producing a trial line of Apple’s long-awaited connected TV product.
The new TVs are expected to integrate the internet and the cloud, with their own displays and interfaces.
It is thought that Apple could announce its new Smart TV product at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Franscisco on 11 June.
