New research carried out by the Billet Consultancy, based on TV contractor revenue over the last ten years, has led the company to speculate that in order to survive in what it suggests is a stagnant market, TV sales operations will have to merge. It estimates that the first of these mergers will take place before July 1993.
For the north it considers a Media Airtime Sales/Granada merger, whilst in the south a Meridian/LWT or Carlton merger. No one at any of the above companies was available for comment this morning.
