ITV’s favourite digital story, ‘well jel’

Adam Crozier, the ITV chief executive, has ‘revealed’ that the popular ITV2 show The Only Way is Essex gets as many viewers online as it does on TV… Other channels must be well jel.

Speaking at the MediaGuardian Changing Media Summit in London, Crozier said almost half of those watching the show on TV are also using Facebook or Twitter at the same time. He also said ITV is embracing digital but traditional TV is still vital.

Didn’t Crozier also ‘reveal’ this at MediaTel Group’s TV Summit in November? And ITV’s group commercial sales director Gary Digby. Fru Hazlitt also talked about it at the ISBA conference last week. It seems to be ITV’s favourite digital story, so last year!
