JCDecaux To Launch In-Store Poster Network For Tesco

JCDecaux Logo JCDecaux, which handles Tesco’s advertising, is to fit backlit advertising panels in the supermarket giant’s Metro shops, creating the first in-store poster network at a UK supermarket chain.

According to reports in the trade press, the poster network will be launched with GlaxoSmithKline’s Lucozade as the first advertiser. The double sided panels which will be used are 122cm x 32cm and are in five of the Metro stores in London; at Goodge Street, Islington, Covent Garden, Dean Street and Canary Wharf.

Tesco is apparently looking for an advertiser who can help them take the format on to a national level, with the poster network at all 150 of the Metro shops.

Lucozade’s campaign, which was booked by Posterscope and MediaCom, will run until the end of August.
