John Brown Goes Into Gardens

Plans that have been in the pipeline for the past three years have finally come to fruition at John Brown Publishing with the announcement that it is to launch Gardens Illustrated on March 25th.

Brown has chosen to publish the magazine himself, and hopes to place it somewhere between traditional gardening magazines such as House & Garden, and the Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden journal. It will be published bi-monthly and have a cover price of £2.95. John Brown Publishing, who also produce zany comic Viz and Virgin Air-Ways magazine, Hot Air has already secured £30,000 in advertising for the new title, which will be made up of 128 pages. The editor of the magazine is Rosie Atkins.
