BBC Magazines is preventing the closure of Good Homes magazine by selling it to Kelsey Publishing.
BBC Magazines announced the closure at the end of last month, citing a drop in circulation (see BBC Good Homes magazine set to close).
Staff will be asked if they want to transfer to the new publisher, with Kelsey’s first issue of Good Homes launching in August.
Good Homes launched in May 1998 and had a peak circulation of around 151,700 copies in 1999.
However, in the latest ABC release it reported a 23% year on year decline to around 97,500 copies (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2008:Coast makes waves in the home interest sector).
