Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was the main attraction on Extras last night, with the comedy drawing in a peak audience of 3.2 million adults (a 16% audience share) in its 9pm timeslot.
However, over on ITV1, the hour-long Ladette To Lady pulled in a peak audience of 4.4 million adults (an average audience share of more than 20%). Meanwhile, BBC One’s Ancient Rome programme attracted almost 3.4 million adult viewers, or a more than 17% share.
Earlier on ITV1, The Bill was the most watched programme in the 8pm slot, gaining an average of almost five million adult viewers (a 25% share). The relaunch of What Not To Wear, minus Trinny and Susannah, on BBC One was seen by more than 3.8 million viewers, and a look back at the finalists of Dragon’s Den on BBC Two took almost three million adult viewers.
The New Paul O’Grady Show on Channel 4 in the 5pm slot beat Sharon Osborne’s show on ITV1, with O’Grady taking a more than 20% audience share (an average of 2.1 million adults) and the X Factor judge taking a 10.5% audience share (just over one million adults).
Eastenders on BBC One performed better than Emmerdale on ITV1, with the London based programme being watched by a peak of 7.7 million adults at 7.30pm and the rural drama being watched by a peak of 6.5 million adults at 7.00pm.
