LBC Ads Supported By Fax Service

LBC Ads Supported By Fax Service

LBC has introduced a new advertising initiative called Q Fax which allows listeners to obtain more information on a product or service via a fax machine. Advertisers using the service will give out a fax number at the end of their ads, listeners will then dial the number on their own fax machines to receive further information.

LBC’s client sales manager, Bob Cole, told MediaTel that the main benefit of this service will be for advertisers to use radio without the hindrance of the “Wealth Warning.” Currently financial advertisers have to state the negative implications of using their service. Cole believes this prevents many potential advertisers from using radio who instead use print or television where the warnings can be disguised. Advertisers will now be able to use the Q Fax system to convey their warnings.

The system also has opportunities for advertisers wanting to provide a full list of their products and services or tie money-off coupons into their ads. The first campaign to use the new system begins on Monday. LBC plans to make the service available to other stations through IRS.
