LG goes retro with new TV

LGTV

LG has launched a 70s-style 32-inch LCD TV, complete with a wooden frame and volume and channel rotary dials for that touch of retro authenticity.

However, despite its old-fashioned exterior, the TV is only a ‘modern reinterpretation’ and is fitted with current technology.

It even comes with a remote control so you don’t have to get up to switch channels or turn up the volume, and its 1,920 × 1,080 resolution and 178-degree viewing angle means that you can still watch Mick Jagger strut his stuff, but now in complete HD.

The TV also has ports that hook up to smartphone and laptop devices.

On its website, LG said that the TV, which is selling at 840,000 South Korean won (approximately £480), is meant to evoke a “classic Scandinavian-style design that emphasises simplicity”.
