LinkedIn has joined forces with the microblogging site Twitter to allow members to share status updates.

The two social networks have been integrated through a Tweet app, which enables members to automatically share their live updates on LinkedIn with their Twitter followers.

Twitter updates will also appear on the LinkedIn network if users add a code to their tweets.

In addition, users will be able to track and manage their feeds and updates from within their profile on each network.

LinkedIn currently has around 51 million members.
