Lost Hits Ratings High But Fails To Topple Rivals

Lost Channel 4 saw 4.4 million adult viewers tune in to the season finale of Lost last night, building on Celebrity Big Brother‘s average of 3.9 million, but failing to top ITV’s Soapstar Superstar.

The ITV talent contest outperformed both Channel 4 programmes, with an average audience of 5.1 million, while BBC One drew a comparatively small audience of 2.8 million with its documentary, When Satan Came To Town.

The surprise success of the evening came for BBC Two, however, which outperformed both Soapstar Superstar and Lost with an average audience of 5.1 million adults for Who Do You Think You Are, tracing the family history of TV host Jeremy Paxman.

Five’s high point of the evening came with The Foreigner, as 1.5 million adults tuned in to see the movie on average over its two-hour duration.
