Macbeth Fails For BBC

Macbeth BBC1’s Macbeth failed to attract viewers last night drawing in an average of just 3.1 million adults, a drop of 1.2 million from the 4.3 million that Much Ado About Nothing received last week.

The BBC enjoyed a strong turnout for Eastenders however, with viewers in excess of 10 million, while ITV saw similar success for both of its Coronation Street episodes, attracting an average of 10.7 million viewers for the earlier slot and 10.3 million for the later.

ITV’s new drama, Walk Away and I Stumble achieved a healthy average audience of 7.4 million, enjoying a 35.23% audience share.

Elsewhere, Channel 4’s The Somme gained an audience of 1.9 million, while BBC2 attracted just over 2 million viewers with its music quiz Never Mind the Buzzcots.
