Magic launches new TV ad campaign

Magic London’s Magic 105.4 is set to launch its sixth series of user-generated content ‘Magic Good Mood Film’ television ad-campaigns.

The TV ads, which return on April 17 to promote Neil Fox’s More Music Breakfast Show, aim to “capture and lift the mood of London by using listeners’ favourite images of the capital and their lives in the morning”.

Over 16,000 images have already been uploaded by Magic listeners, according to the radio station.

The images submitted will feature in 10 and 30 second television adverts, which will be broadcast on both terrestrial and satellite platforms, with the soundtrack of Queen’s “It’s a Kinda Magic” song.

DJ Neil Fox will be appealing to listeners to upload more of their “waking up” images on www.magic.co.uk throughout April and May in a bid to push the campaign.

Steve Parkinson, managing director of London Radio – Bauer Media, said: “We are delighted to be announcing the return of the ‘Magic Good Mood Film’ campaign.

“This feel-good creative will really engage Magic 105.4 listeners and reinforce the station’s uplifting core-values”

Neil Henderson, managing partner at St. Luke’s, added: “Having already built a strong community of Magic 105.4 listeners, we wanted to further strengthen the ties between listeners and the on-air content, allowing the community to become a central part of the Neil Fox breakfast show.”

In the latest RAJAR release, Magic 105.4 enjoyed a period on period increase of around 11%, taking its total reach to just over 800,000 (see 95.8 Capital Radio has London’s most popular breakfast show).
