March Brings Big Campaigns In Outdoor
![]()
The outdoor and ambient industry has seen two “biggest ever” campaigns booked this month, with Taxi Media and Maiden’s AdRail playing host to campaigns from financial services company More Th>n and Toyota.
More Th>n’s month long campaign began on 1 March, utilising 785 cabs and incorporating superside and tip seat ads in what is the UK’s largest ever national taxi campaign. The taxis form part of a wider campaign running throughout this year, taking in ambient, press, TV, radio and outdoor.
Toyota’s campaign for its Corolla took place in the first two weeks of March, and used 710 48-sheet sites situated on the national rail network. The number of ads placed represented an 80% share of voice on the rail network, meaning, according to Maiden that it achieved 42 million rail impacts over the fortnight.
Anna Frith, managing director of Meridian Outdoor, which planned the campaign, the largest ever booking on Maiden’s Adrail 48-sheet product, said “The commuter has become more sophisticated in distilling the information they take in on their way to work. When planning outdoor, we need to be ingenious at targeting them. By buying over 80% of the 48s Adrail universe, we are continually punctuating their journey to work, ensuring we will catch their attention with the Corolla’s message.”
