MediaTel Group Commemorates 25th Year With Special Seminar

MediaTel Group Logo MediaTel Group is to commemorate its 25th year with a special seminar, ‘Media 25’, where an esteemed panel will look back over the past 25 years of the media industry, as well as looking forward to future developments.

Under the chairmanship of BBC media corespondent Torin Douglas, a selection of highly respected panellists from a cross-section of the media will lend weight to the event.

The doyen of TV sales, Ron Miller, will be jetting in from Guernsey to catch up with a few old friends and share a few media tales; the former CEO of TNS, Mike Kirkham, will be making the shorter trip from West London with a very definite view on the way ahead for successful brands; and Tess Alps, now CEO of Thinkbox and celebrating her 30th year in the industry, will no doubt be giving some optimistic views on the industry’s future.

Further confirmed panellists will be announced shortly.

MediaTel Group managing director, Derek Jones, said: “We anticipate a very interesting and entertaining afternoon – with the odd anecdote thrown in perhaps!”

The event is in association with BARB, which is also celebrating its 25th anniversary. The usual ticket price for special events has been reduced, and the company is offering “priority booking” to those who may be young enough to share in a few of the tales of media’s yesteryears and might have views to express on the future.

The seminar is on Monday 5 March, at One Great George Street, Westminster, London SW1. The seminar runs from 4pm-6pm with drinks and canapes to follow, and with tea and coffee available from 3.15pm.

Tickets are £75. Click here for more information and to book.
