MediaTel Seminar Season Kicks-Off

David Evans

David Evans, business director, MediaTel.co.uk, looks ahead at the forthcoming season of must-see MediaTel seminars…

The morning of October 15 sees the beginning of our 08/09 seminar season with the first of our “Future of..” events examining the prospects for media agencies. Feedback from attendees over the past three years indicates the relevance, convenience and value of MediaTel’s seminars.

The Future of the Media Agency is being held at the plush RBS building on Bishopsgate from 9.30-12.30, chaired by the BBC’s media correspondent Torin Douglas.

Joining Torin will be a number of influential figures from the agency world, representing the media networks (full service and digital) a former agency boss now heading a media auditing business and a media owner to provide balance (or to stir things up):

  • Nigel Morris, CEO, Isobar
  • Mark Read, Strategy Director, WPP
  • Greg Grimmer, Partner, Hurrell Moseley Dawson and Grimmer
  • Chris Locke, Managing Partner, Vivaki
  • Nick Manning, CEO, Ebiquity
  • Andy Barnes, Sales Director, Channel 4

This first session will look at issues such as how agencies can differentiate themselves from their competitors, how margins can be grown, and how agencies might be structured in years to come.

After a swift coffee break, a fresh panel will be tackling key media trading issues, not least how the agency/media owner relationship can be strengthened and improved in the current challenging environment.

Whether you represent a media owner, agency or media supplier there will be debate and comment immediately relevant to how you do business over the coming months and years. Individual tickets are available here for £195.

At The Future of Online on November 25, panellists are already confirmed from Facebook, Google, Diffiniti and Unanimis. Tickets will be limited for this event so click here now to secure your spot… and to receive an early booking discount. You may instead want to take advantage of a transferable season ticket across all six events for just £800 (over 40% off full ticket price). The rest of the seminar season is below:

2009 events:
