Virgin1 teamed up with Incentivated to create a viral campaign with a wow factor in order to generate excitement around the launch of the new Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles TV programme on the channel.
Client: Virgin1 – Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles
Medium: A microsite was set up where potential viewers could “terminate-a-mate” by submitting their friend’s details. The friend then received a personalised mobile video telling them that the Terminators are hijacking their phone and are in the immediate vicinity – the video then shows their name, mobile number and a map of their location. The friend can then do the same to another friend from the mobile site.
Conclusion: Fun and effective way of virally spreading awareness of the forthcoming TV series.
