Murdoch: The Sun on Sunday will be launched ‘very soon’

Rupert Murdoch has told News International employees that The Sun on Sunday newspaper will be launched “very soon”.

In an email ahead of his meeting in Wapping today, the News Corp chairman sought to reassure staff of his commitment to The Sun following the arrests of five of the title’s journalists.

“I am confident we will get through this together and emerge stronger. We are doing everything we can to assist those who were arrested – all suspensions are hereby lifted until or whether charged and they are welcome to return to work.

“News Corporation will cover their legal expenses. Everyone is innocent unless proven otherwise.”
