NABS launches cost-of-living support

NABS, the advertising and media industry’s wellbeing charity, has launched a cost-of-living grant to help employees through the current financial crisis.

This is the first time the charity has offered a topic-specific grant and the Cost of Living Grant is a one-off £1,000 for those experiencing financial challenges in areas like paying bills or buying food.

Advertising professionals who are experiencing financial difficulties in areas like paying bills or buying food, and have less than £5,000 in savings can apply.

A list of eligibility criteria is available to view on NABS website and the charity encourages and welcomes applications from all areas of the industry.

NABS is also expanding its financial support services this winter with a free online lunchtime talk with Kia Commodore, financial guru and money-saving expert.

Lorraine Jennings-Creed, director of wellbeing services and culture change, NABS, said: “A significant number of people in our industry will need to adjust how they prioritise their outgoings. Some may need to make difficult choices about how they manage and meet their basic needs.

“As the support organisation for our industry, NABS wants to offer some practical and speedy help and that’s why we’ve reacted quickly by creating the Cost-of-Living Grants which will be the first part of our Financial Wellbeing offer.
