Netflix has acquired the new Robert Rodriguez series, From Dusk Till Dawn, exclusively for subscribers in Canada, Europe and Latin America.
Due to start airing weekly in all territories on March 12 – except for Latin America where it will air a week later – the ten-episode series is based on the cult-classic film of the same name, and marks Rodriguez’s first foray into serialised drama.
“We’re thrilled to premiere From Dusk Till Dawn: A Netflix Original Series exclusively in our international markets,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix. “Rodriguez is an amazing storyteller and we think our members will love his thrill-ride TV adaptation of the cult-classic.”
Rodriguez said that he is looking forward to building an international audience for the series.
“This property has always resonated for viewers around the globe and we believe that it will be just as relevant for this new generation of fans,” he said.
Netflix has also announced the expansion of Canadian comedy, Trainer Park Boys, to all Netflix territories from the end of March.
