New editor for More!

Bauer Media has appointed Chantelle Horton as editor of More! magazine.

Horton, currently More!‘s deputy editor, replaces Lisa Smosarski who is leaving next month to become editor of new ShortList Media title Stylist .

Jo Morrell, acting MD of More!, said: “We have done a thorough trawl of the best talent in the market and it’s great to have found the best person for the job within Bauer Media.

“More! is in great shape, having a fantastic year of sales growth and outperforming all other glossies in the market. I know Chantelle will continue to evolve its winning formula and unrivalled position as the confident voice of young women in the UK.”

The title, aimed at 18- to 25-year-old women, relaunched last year after moving to weekly from fortnightly in 2007.

According to the latest ABC consumer magazine figures, for July to December 2008, More! has a circulation of 181,260, a year on year fall of 9.4%.
