New editor for womanandhome.com

Kate Matharu

Kate Matharu has been appointed editor of womanandhome.com.

Matharu joins from fellow IPC Southbank website marieclaire.co.uk, where for more than two years she has been assistant editor.

Before this, Matharu spent two years on the entertainment desk on Marie Claire magazine as entertainment assistant.

woman&home editorial director Sue James said: “Kate’s strong editorial background on Marie Claire and extensive web and newsletter experience will be invaluable in developing womanandhome.com.

“I look forward to working closely with Kate to build even stronger integration between the magazine and website.”

Matharu added: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a successful, award-winning brand and I’m very much looking forward to being a part of the woman&home team.

“womanandhome.com is attracting a growing network of users, which I hope to increase even further.”

Matharu takes up her new position with immediate effect.

Woman&home‘s circulation was up 4% year on year to 350,000 copies, according to the latest ABC figures for January to June 2009.
