New national strategy and DJ line-up for Magic Radio

Magic Radio has announced it is working alongside independent production partners for the first time as the station unveils a new programming strategy for its national launch on digital radio this week.

Production companies Wise Buddah and USP Content have partnered with the Bauer owned station, with more shows up for pitch across 2015.

Magic – which previously only broadcast in London – has signed Christine Bleakley, John Barrowman and Claire Sweeney who are set to broadcast alongside in-house talent, including Denise Van Outen, Rick Astley and Kim Wilde.

“It’s fantastic to have Wise Buddah and USP Content on board to help us hit the ground running for 2015,” said Liam Thompson, content director at Magic.

“The move to work alongside independent production companies in conjunction with the strong in-house Magic team underpins our big ambitions for the national Magic brand and our desire to create new sponsorship opportunities for brand partners.”
