There have been rumours in the trade press that Gruner & Jahr are set to launch a new woman’s weekly title.
The magazine, provisionally titled Gala borrowing its name from a recent G&J launch in Germany, is going to be a celebrity gossip weekly and will follow the formula of the French title Voici. It is set to launch at the beginning of 1996 but no further details were available and when asked to confirm or deny the rumour a G&J spokesperson declined to comment.
