News Corp to hire Viacom digital head Clayman to run iPad newspaper

According to reports, Greg Clayman is to lead the News Corp digital newspaper.

He is leaving his post as MTV’s executive vice president, digital distribution and business development, and is moving to News Corp to work on its tablet newspaper project.

He will be working alongside Jesse Angelo, New York Post executive editor.

The digital newspaper will have its own editorial staff, but will also use resources from various existing News Corp publications, such as the New York Post and Dow Jones.

The project was announced earlier this month, and is expected to be released as a digital newspaper available as an app on the iPad and other tablet devices.
