News UK’s Sophie Raptis joins The Ozone Project

The Ozone Project, the new joint digital ad sales house for publishers, has appointed Sophie Raptis as client director to manage the platform’s relationships with brands.

Raptis joins from her position as advertising client director at News UK. She has over 20 years of experience in the media industry building and selling multi-platform advertising solutions for international news organisations. Prior to News UK, she served as the publisher of WSJ Magazine in New York.

In her new role, Raptis will help brands target relevant audiences and will be responsible for attracting new brands to the platform.

“My interest in the publishing world and its sustainability made the move to The Ozone Project a no-brainer for me,” she said.

She will report into Craig Tuck, managing director, who added: “Our mission at The Ozone Project is to offer greater choice for our advertising partners through custom audience targeting to create value and ROI. We’re delighted to have Sophie on-board to support us on our journey.”

The Ozone Project is an audience platform that allows brands direct and transparent access to 42m UK consumers when they are in quality publishing environments.

In a display of unity, the largest news publishers in the UK announced the launch of the project in June last year as they seek to offer better scale, a cleaner supply chain and easier buying options for advertisers.

Its founding partners are News UK, Guardian News & Media, The Telegraph and Reach plc.
