NRS National Newspaper Round-Up – February 2002

The National Readership Survey (NRS) has released readership figures for February 2002. Overall the national newspaper market has seen a minor decline, although some dramatic performances, both positive and negative, were seen in the broadsheet and tabloid markets.

The largest year on year increase in readership was seen at the Guardian, which saw a 22.2% increase. The Daily Star also performed well, adding 12.4% year on year.

At the other end of the scale, the biggest loss in percentage terms was at the Sunday Times . The worst performance in terms of actual number of readers was at the Sun.
