Ofcom To Reveal Results Of Channel 4 Finance Review

Ofcom is set to reveal the results of a review of Channel 4’s finances, according to a report in the Guardian.

The report says that the findings from Ofcom’s consultants are due to be made public in the spring.

In September, Ofcom announced that it had appointed advisers LEK to carry out a detailed review of Channel 4’s finances, whilst the regulator carried out a review of the group’s delivery of its public service broadcasting remit.

They also looked at Channel 4’s “historic and current financial position and the likely resilience of its funding model in the face of changing competitive pressures” (see Ofcom Appoints Advisers For Review Of Channel 4 Finances).

The Guardian report quotes an Ofcom spokeswoman as saying: “We will publish the financial details from LEK towards the end of March.”
