Oneword Debuts Tomorrow
UBC Media has announced that the first Channel 4 programme to be broadcast on its digital radio joint venture with Channel 4, Oneword, will premiere tomorrow, with the weekly Jon Snow Reports programme airing at 8am.
The programme will feature a highly topical investigation into cannabis abuse in the light of its reclassification as a ‘type B’ drug, marking the first in a weekly series that will focus on major news issues of the day.
Commenting on the launch of the series, Simon Cole, chief executive officer of UBC said: “This is an extremely significant development.”

Digital radio is seeing an impressive rise in numbers, with the latest figures from RAJAR showing total listening hours for digital radio increasing by 165% year on year, while the number of radio listeners claiming to own a DAB receiver or listen to the radio via digital TV or online has increased by 25% year on year (see Digital Radio Sees Surge In Listening).
