Peter Fincham handed control of ITV marketing

ITV’s director of television, Peter Fincham, is to take responsibility for the broadcaster’s marketing and has also been tasked with overseeing its research.

This follows the announcement that Rupert Howell is leaving his role as ITV’s managing director of brand and commercial at the end of July.

Group marketing director David Pemsel will now report to Fincham.

Fru Hazlitt, whose appointment was revealed last month, will become managing director of commercial and online when she starts in August.

As part of the reshuffle, the broadcaster is also looking for someone to take on the newly-created role of chief technology officer, to oversee development for all ITV broadcast and transmission services
