Publicis Q2 results ahead of growth expectations

Publicis Groupe has posted stronger-than-expected organic growth of 5.6% in Q2.

In its latest earnings, the holding company said this was ahead of its four-year compound annual growth rate of 4.7%, with the group reaching €3.46m total revenue for the quarter.

This was down to a “solid performance” across all regions, including “continued momentum” in the US with 5.3% growth, along with a “robust” performance in Europe at 4.2%.

The strongest growth was reported in Asia-Pacific and China, at 7.7% and 10.5% respectively.

For H1, organic growth totalled 5.4%, or 7.4% on a like-for-like basis.

Publicis also upgraded its full-year 2024 guidance to 5-6% compared with 4-5% previously, “despite persistent macro uncertainties”.

Arthur Sadoun, Publicis chairman and CEO, called out its data and media offering, which posted double-digit growth in Q2 for a third year in a row, highlighting the company’s “leadership of personalisation at scale”.

He added: “Despite a backdrop of ongoing macroeconomic pressures, not only did our H1 performance demonstrate that our model is strong, it also showed that our outperformance versus our peers is sustainable, with our growth rate close to doubling that of our competitors since 2019.

“As a result, we are confident in our ability to accelerate further in H2.”
