The Radio Advertising Bureau, set up to increase radio’s share of advertising revenue, is to begin offering its services to agencies from September.
RAB’s strategic planner Justin Samson, commenting on the Bureau’s main aim, told MediaTel “Our mission is to increase the climate of familiarity and favourability for radio as an advertising opportunity.” RAB hopes that agencies with clients who are ‘radio maybes’ will use the bureau to swing them in the medium’s direction.
The Bureau’s staff have been recruited from a number of areas with only Samson a radio specialist. The rest of the team comprises 2 media planners, 1 account planner and 2 media researchers.
