The Radio Joint Audience Research contract for the proposed new combined system of research for BBC and Independent Radio has attracted six- ten possible bidders.
The sixteen groups, which have all confirmed their intention to bid, have until January 3 1992 to submit their tenders. The winning tender will be announced by the end of February, with the first survey beginning next September.
RAJAR is jointly owned by the BBC and AIRC and includes members of ISBA, IPA and AMI. The RAJAR management committee does not intend to release the names of the applicants until the contract is awarded.
