It is all change at the top of the London chart once again, with Capital London reclaiming the number one position from Bauer’s Magic 105.4.
Global Radio’s Capital London enjoyed a healthy 4.9% QoQ increase, taking its average weekly reach to nearly 2.2 million listeners.
And in what has been a positive release for Global (with all but two of its portfolio gaining reach YoY), the group’s Heart London has also moved up to second place with a reach of more than two million listeners after a 1.9% QoQ rise, which pushes Bauer Radio’s Magic 105.4 to third place.
Magic 105.4 suffered a -12.8% QoQ decline in weekly reach (and a -7.3% YoY fall), which takes it below the two million listener mark.
In fourth place, Bauer’s Kiss 100 FM also had a weak quarter – down -8.4% QoQ to 1.7 million listeners.
After announcing positive Q2 2011 results, Total Absolute Radio (London) saw figures fall in Q3, down -7.3% QoQ and -15.4% YoY. Absolute Radio London also recorded a drop in reach (-21.7% QoQ and -24.0% YoY).
However, along with the Capital and Heart, Smooth Radio London and Choice FM London can celebrate a positive quarter. Smooth Radio saw a 25.9% QoQ rise, while Choice FM was up 14.2% QoQ.
Commercial gains were BBC’s loss with BBC London suffering a 15.4% YoY drop.
