Loyal customers who have been with Sky for a long time will reap the highest rewards with the launch of Sky VIP – the first tenure-based loyalty programme in the UK TV and broadband sector.
The VIP package includes free tickets to sporting events such as the Premier League and EFL, preview screenings of the latest films, priority customer service and an all-expenses paid trip to Iceland to visit some of the filming locations for Game Of Thrones.
“Sky has always been a customer led company and the launch of Sky VIP is about putting our existing customers first and showing we value their loyalty,” said Stephen Van Rooyen, Sky’s UK and Ireland chief executive.
“This isn’t about tactical deals or collecting points – it’s about offering genuine experiences and benefits we know our customers value and which only Sky can offer.”
Sky VIP sits within the My Sky App, where customers can access their free Welcome Gift of a Sky Store movie and find out their membership tier: Silver (0-3 years), Gold (3-8 years), Platinum (8-15 years) or Black (15+ years).
Customers who have been with Sky for longer will be able to access Free Sky Go Extra, which allows them to download and watch Sky shows wherever and whenever they want.
They will also be entitled to free fibre set-up and free Sky Q set-up and a new channel, as well as Sky Atlantic VIP, where a number of Sky Atlantic’s new shows will be available 24 hours in advance.
Van Rooyen added: “For our most loyal customers, who we know want the latest kit and best possible service, we’ll be offering access to our best technology as well as priority customer service.
“But it doesn’t stop there – this is only the beginning as Sky VIP will keep expanding, with more benefits and rewards to be added in the coming months.”
