Slow Growth For Publicis In Q3

Publicis has reported third quarter revenue of $1.3 billion for the third quarter of 2006, of which $550 million was attributed to its businesses in North America.

Organic growth was 2.6%, which is slower than in previous quarters. Maurice Levy, chairman of Publicis said that this was due to the cancellation of some campaigns over the summer months and a winding down of work on selected accounts.

Towards the end of September Publicis said that it will be looking to implement an acquisition strategy, leading to rumours that it could be gearing up a bid for the Aegis owned Carat (see ITV Welcomes Ofcom’s Public Service Proposals).
