Starcom MediaVest Group UK has announced the appointment of Simon Jones as its new business director.
Jones, who takes up his role in March, will be tasked with leading digital transformation for the agency across a portfolio of clients including Warners, Spotify, Now and Jack Daniels.
Prior to his position at SMG, Jones was associate director at MediaCom where he headed up the digital team within the entertainment division, overseeing 300% digital growth across key clients over a period of five years.
In his new position Jones will report to SMG’s managing partner Adam Foley, and co-CEO Steve Parker.
“Simon is a vastly experienced digital expert and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in implementing creative and pioneering digital advertising strategies,” said Foley.
“As Simon’s track record shows, his leadership will be vital in driving digital growth for our clients.”
