Social-TV start-up Bluefin Labs has signed a $12 million investment deal from a group led by Time Warner Investments.

The social analytics company is set to use the investment to hire sales and client-service staff, as the makeup of the 40-person company is currently focused on tech, product and data roles.

Bluefin Labs has a social-analytics dashboard that aggregates and analyses comments about TV programmes in social networks.
