Somethin’ Else hires ex-Spotify exec as head of branded podcasts

Somethin’ Else, part of Sony Music Entertainment, has appointed a new head of branded podcasts.

Annabel Wilcken will be based in the UK and report to Jez Nelson, executive vice-president and co-head of global podcasts.

Her main responsibilities will be client relationships for brand-funded podcasts and business growth.

Wilcken most recent role was head of branded podcasts at Compete App and prior to that she worked at Spotify for 11 years, with her last position a director of multi-market activation and planning and was also one of the founding members of the streaming company’s London office.
