Sony and BSkyB Launch Go!View On PSP

Go!View BSkyB has teamed up with Sony to launch a video-on-demand service on Sony’s handheld console, PSP, called Go!View.

PSP users will be able to access video content via their PC by going to the Go!View website.

The service has already secured content partners including Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, BBC Worldwide, Sony Pictures Television International, NBC Universal International Television Distribution, National Geographic and Sky Sports.

Available shows range from libraries of US dramas such as Lost and Desperate Housewives to Doctor Who and Top Gear, as well as FA Premier League football from Sky Sports, with more shows arriving in the coming months.

The service is available via a monthly subscription to different content packs – comedy, sport and entertainment. Subscribers can pay £5 for one pack, £8 for two packs and £10 for all three packs – although triallists can have all three packs for free for a month.

Classic films are also available from just £2.50 each, including Snatch, Way of the Dragon and, tying in nicely to the gaming angle, Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

Commenting on the launch, Alison Turner, general manager of Go!View Entertainment UK, promises: “We are working with our content providers to secure a quality range of programming and ensure that PSP owners are getting the best possible service on-the-go and on-demand.”
