Stuff.tv To Launch On Mobile

Stuff Magazine Stuff magazine’s website, www.stuff.tv, is to launch a mobile service http://mobile.stuff.tv.

Users are asked to text STUFF to 60030 and the URL will be sent to their mobile phones immediately. The service will feature breaking news, reviews, top 10’s and stuff.tv’s popular video clips.

Tom Dunmore, editor-in-chief, said: “Stuff magazine has a passion for gadgets, so it’s only logical that we want to put stuff.tv onto gadgets too. The new mobile site allows quick access to news, reviews and our chart-topping videos, all designed specifically for mobile phone browsers.

“It’s a free service, so users will only pay their mobile providers for the data they use – and we’ve optimised the site so it’s lightweight and quick to download. With mobile.stuff.tv users can check our reviews when out on the high street, and watch our videocasts on the bus to work – gadget addicts rejoice, now you can always keep your pockets full of Stuff.”

At the last ABCs, for Jul-Dec 06, Stuff magazine was up by more than 9,500 copies year on year.

T-Mobile has just announced the first partners on its mobile TV service, with all users who buy a compatible handset before June 30 getting a free subscription up to that date (see T-Mobile Announces Partners For Mobile TV Service).
