Talon Outdoor has developed and launched a travel tool to help people plan journeys during the quietest times on the London Underground.
As anxiety about rising Omicron cases and travelling around London are on the rise ahead of Christmas, “Plan It” is designed to help give people more confidence in making their journeys on the tube.
It is powered by data management platform Ada, and builds on Talon’s Covid insights tracker, which was launched in 2020.
The tool combines data from the start station, the tube or train and the end station calculating a score between 1 and 10, from quietest to busiest, for the journey.
James Copley, UK CEO at Talon Outdoor said: “The tool provides peace of mind for commuters who may experience travel-related anxieties, or who wish to avoid peak hours for ease.
“Using Plan It, people can now be more certain of the type of journey they can expect, giving users control over their travel experience.”
“Plan It” is currently available for 90% of stations on the London Underground, with plans to expand the network soon.
It will also be launched in Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh next year.
